For this Rebecca Solnit project, I worked closely between our editorial and design team to proofread, edit, and revise complex atlas spreads for clarity. Special consideration was paid to non-roman characters/foreign languages and song titles.
On this title I edited optical character recognition scans of letters written by Langston Hughes against originals with the intent to preserve Hughes’ syntax and correct computer errors.
Drawing the Line contains both text and full image spreads where I assessed visual alignment, fit, color balance. appropriate reproduction of images, and permissions/credits.
A favorite project of mine: for The New Mediterranean Jewish Table, I transliterated Farsi to English, edited recipes, and cross referenced page callouts with corresponding page numbers.
Seven hundred pages of German film theory and theory of theory itself. Full stop.
For this reissue of Newton’s Principia, I cross referenced page callouts to diagrams and ensured mathematical symbols and characters were correctly represented in text and spreads.
Perhaps one of the most memorable science titles I worked on, this myrmecology book was largely photographic. I was required to ensure that species names were properly paired with high-res images of ants.
On this life science title, I extensively edited formatting for taxonomies, tables, appendices, charts, maps, captions and page callouts.
